Each piece in Self Help is painted to resemble a worn, well-loved book—complete with hand-painted spines, soft aging, and occasional ribbon bookmarks. Each book is meant to be viewed from multiple angles, inviting close inspection and playful curiosity. Crafted from discarded wood salvaged from a previous exhibition at The Factory, the work carries a subtle undercurrent of transformation and reuse—mirroring the self-reflective themes of the pieces themselves.
