Okay, here’s how this works. Bring some socks! Maybe you have a lonely single sock that has lost its identical partner long ago. Maybe there is a perfect partner just seeking its sole mate in a fellow brokers closet. A lost lefty looking for its righty. Maybe your a virgo *cough* amytracey *cough* and don’t have mismatched socks. Bring a fun pair that you purposely mismatch with a fellow broker to have matching-zany-mismatched-friendship socks with! Or maybe your name is Alan Marrero and believe that “no one should have any of my used socks” because you admittedly have gross feet. That’s okay! Buy a fun new pair or two to bring to the opening bell. If the virgo in you really can’t stand even the idea of owning mismatched socks, trade full pairs with another broker, anything goes! Maybe do all three, the more socks, the more possibilities! We encourage bringing both used and new socks to trade with all personality types. The NYSE believes in stretching the limits of what it means to match.

Here’s a great REAL LIFE example! I recently came up with this while on mushrooms and hanging out with my upstairs neighbor, Daynah. I randomly grabbed some socks while bopping between our apartments and she found this serendipitous match. What sort of sock investments will you find at the NYSE?

The Initial Public Offering (IPO)

The New York Sock Exchange will hold it’s IPO (An IPO is the first sale or offering of a stock by a company to the public) on Sunday, November 10th. The opening bell will be rung at 11AM. All bids will be held at Timothy’s Apartment AKA The Rainbow Room located at 1109 17th Ave, conference room #103. Bring a brunchy food to share, and drinks you want to leverage.

The NYSE believes in finding lost love, making new matches, and to enjoy the funny unexceptected ways we can connect for both socks and friends! With that in mind, this party will be heavily centered around The Fruits, but all are welcome if you have fruit adjacent friends you’d like to bring along.
